Dr Nuala Lucas is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Portland Hospital in London. She is the Honorary Secretary Elect of the Obstetric Anaesthetists’ Association and chairs the Education sub-committee.
She was the obstetric anaesthetic representative for the NICE Caesarean Section Guideline update published in 2011. She was a member of the joint Obstetric Anaesthetists’ Association/Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland Working Party for Guidelines for Obstetric Anaesthesia Services published in 2013. -

Dr Lucas co-authored the Handbook of Obstetric High Dependency Care and serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Obstetric Anaesthesia.
