    Dr Martin Thomas is a consultant cardiologist at the Heart Hospital, UCLH, London. He qualified from the University of Southampton, School of Medicine in 1992 and completed his postgraduate specialist training in cardiology at the Sussex Cardiac Centre, Brighton and St. George’s Hospital, London.

    Dr Thomas was awarded an MD degree from Imperial College, London after completing his thesis on the clinical problem of heart failure with preserved systolic function. He has published many papers in the field of heart failure. He is a certified cardiac device specialist of the Heart Rhythm Society, USA.

    Dr Thomas undertook a one-year senior fellowship in the advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation service at the Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia. He is trained in all aspects of general cardiology but holds a specialist interest in heart failure management and device therapy, including pacemaker, cardiac resynchronisation and implantable defibrillator implantation.
