    Dr Konrad Koss qualified in 1991 with an MD, after which he gained a PhD in inflammatory bowel disease, basing his research at Imperial College, London. Between 1996 and 1998 he conducted postdoctoral research at Oxford University and John Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford. Dr Koss has published papers and abstracts, and gives presentations at national and international gastroenterology conferences. From 2001 to 2006, Dr Koss underwent extensive training in general medicine and gastroenterology on the Specialist Training Programme in General Medicine and Gastroenterology in Nottingham and also on registrar rotation in Birmingham. In 2006 Dr Koss was appointed as Gastroenterology Consultant at Macclesfield District General Hospital. He also carries out advanced endoscopy sessions at Salford Royal Hospital. Dr Koss is an expert in a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures including EUS, ERCP, EMR and capsule endoscopy. He is an accredited colonoscopist for the National Bowel Screening Programme. He also has vast experience in performing non invasive tests for liver fibrosis using the fibroscan technique. Dr Koss also has an interest in food intolerance and food allergens..
