Senior Staff Nurse – Haematology Chemo Unit
Location: London, HCA at UCH
Full time, 37.5hrs per week Monday – Friday - Shift times: 8am to 6pm
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive and Excellent benefits
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Senior Staff Nurse with a background in Haematology to join our Chemo Day Unit at HCA at University College Hospital. Rated “Outstanding” by the CQC, this is one of our flagship specialist cancer centres, dedicated to delivering pioneering treatments and compassionate care. You’ll be part of a facility leading the way in cancer innovation, offering patients access to advanced therapies such as our JACIE accredited bone marrow/stem cell transplant service and our cutting-edge CAR T-cell therapy programme.
This is more than a clinical role – it’s a leadership opportunity. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in guiding and inspiring the nursing team on shift, setting high standards and leading by example. Working closely with experienced nurses and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll oversee the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of complex care pathways within a safe and supportive environment. In the absence of the Sister or Charge Nurse, you will have the chance to step up and lead the unit, further developing your confidence, autonomy, and management skills.
We are committed to helping our senior nurses grow both professionally and personally. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to enrol in leadership and clinical development programmes tailored to support your career progression. Whether you're looking to refine your clinical expertise or take the next step toward advanced leadership, you’ll have access to structured pathways that will help you achieve your goals while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients every day.
If you're an experienced Haematology nurse ready to take the lead in a highly respected, forward-thinking unit, we would love to hear from you. Join us, and be part of a team that’s changing the future of cancer care
