Shifts: 4 days per week, Monday-Saturday. Shift times between 07:30-20:00. Overtime available as well as occasional on-calls

Salary: Up to £42,906 dependent on experience + 4% shift enhancement
We’re seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) to become part of our exceptional Theatres team, rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead operating lists, scrub across a range of surgical specialties—including robotic procedures in gynaecology, urology, and colorectal—and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest standards of patient care.
What you will do:
Take overall responsibility for managing the operating list in a designated theatre, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety.
Provide scrub support for all surgical specialties offered at The Christie Private Care, including robotic procedures in gynaecology, urology, and colorectal surgery.
Proactively review booked cases, check and maintain surgical equipment, and confirm availability of trays and resources to meet patient and departmental needs.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe surgical environment, participate in decision-making on patient care and operating list changes, and support ward and theatre staff for seamless patient pathways.
Teach and mentor junior staff to achieve competencies in line with clinical guidelines, organisational policy, and AFPP standards.
Ensure accurate documentation and electronic records, utilise resources effectively, and identify and undertake training to meet personal development needs.
What you will bring:
NMC or HCPC registration
Scrub experience in the UK
Good computer skills
Ability to work as part of a team
A second skill (Anaesthetics or Recovery) is desirable
