Vasilli’s heart surgery
Now I can give my granddaughter a piggyback, which I couldn’t do before.
Vasilli
Patient
Vasilli’s GP had been concerned for several weeks with his shortness of breath, wondering if it could be related to a narrow valve in his heart. Our cardiac team found he was suitable for a new keyhole procedure, a transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). The procedure took about an hour and a quarter, and within 24 hours, Vasilli was ready to go.
