HCA International appoints Keith Biddlestone as Group Commercial Director

HCA is pleased to announce that Mr Keith Biddlestone will join HCA International as its Group Commercial Director on 12th May, 2011.

Keith brings a wealth of experience and leadership in the healthcare field. He is currently Senior Vice President for CIGNA, based in Philadelphia and has been developing new products and services in markets such as China, Korea, and Spain. Last year he led the acquisition of Vanbreda by CIGNA, and helped it to become the market leader in the expatriate health insurance market.

Before he joined Cigna, Keith Biddlestone was Managing Director of Bupa International, a health insurer providing care to customers in over 190 countries. Under his leadership profits were tripled in four years and Bupa International became the market leader.

Earlier roles with Bupa include Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region, leadership of Health Care Partnerships (where he created quality-based health care networks such as the Bupa Breast Cancer Network) and numerous leadership roles managing private hospitals. Keith originally qualified as a Hospital Administrator.
