Mr Ali Narvani is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon specialising exclusively in shoulder and elbow surgery. He completed undergraduate and postgraduate training in London. He was then awarded two prestigious fellowships in shoulder and elbow surgery, one as 'Paul Calvert Fellow' working with Andrew Wallace in London, and the other at the internationally renowned Reading Shoulder Unit working with Stephen Copeland and Ofer Levy. These have provided him with super specialist training in his clinical interest areas which include open and arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery including tendon repair, stabilisations, trauma and arthroplasty (joint replacement). Mr Narvani has completed an MSc (Distinction) in Sports Medicine and is a member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (UK). He completed his medical training at Guys and St Thomas' Medical School in 1996. He then went on to do his basic surgical training at St Thomas's and Whittington Hospitals. This period was followed by his higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics in London working at various hospitals including Chelsea & Westminster, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and St Mary's. After this, he undertook two fellowships in shoulder and elbow surgery as 'Paul Calvert' and Reading Shoulder Unit fellows. Mr Narvani is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Ashford & St Peter's NHS Foundation Trust. He is regularly invited to lecture both nationally and internationally and continues to teach and supervise the training of postgraduate Shoulder & Elbow surgery for Specialist Registrars.
