I am a gastroenterologist with an interest in general gastroenterology; and an expert interest in endoscopy, ERCP and pancreaticobiliary medicine. My academic interest is in education, and particularly teaching medical students and postgradute trainees gastroenterology and endoscopy. I lead the lead for education at the BSG; UCL; and within UCLH. I am editor-in-chief of UEG eLearning (United European Gastroenterology); one of the largest postgraduate on-line training resources in the world. I was lead editor for on-line courses on UEG e-learning on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and dyspepsia (heartburn and upper abdominal discomfort). As a dedicated medical educator I am able to bring the very latest evidence-based medicine to my practice. I find the most rewarding aspect of my work is spending time with patients so that I understand their concerns and so that they are fully involved with their management and treatment plan.
