He is supervising a research MD student in using the new 3T MRI scanner in breast MRI studies to quantify disease response in patients with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Further academic interests include the mammographic quantification of breast density, digital breast tomosynthesis, and CT and MRI angiography techniques for imaging the abdominal wall prior to breast reconstructive surgery, with research projects ongoing and in preparation in these areas.
