Private Electrocardiogram (ECG) Test
A test to measure and record heart activity
An ECG is a simple and non-invasive test to assess heart rate and rhythm and diagnose or monitor heart conditions
What is an ECG?
An ECG records the rate, rhythm and electrical activity of your heart. It can be used to diagnose conditions such as an abnormal heart beat (arrhythmia) or to determine the effectiveness of medication. It can also be part of a routine medical check up to make sure your heart is functioning normally.
Across the HCA UK network in London, Birmingham and Manchester we offer outpatient cardiac tests in our hospitals, outpatient centres and specialist clinics.

An ECG is a quick and painless test. You'll be asked to lie on a bed while several sensors are attached to your chest, wrists and ankles using small sticky pads.
