HCA Healthcare UK Appoints Chief Nursing Executive

Carol will lead a team of nine Chief Nursing Officers, 1,700 nursing colleagues and nearly 1,000 AHPs who have a diverse range of clinical expertise, skills and experience that enable HCA Healthcare UK to deliver safe, high-quality care across a depth and breadth of medical specialties. 

With over 30 years’ experience in nursing and healthcare Carol’s career began in the NHS before becoming a Nursing Officer in the Army. She maintains her connection to the Army in her current advisory role as Colonel Commandant, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps.

After leaving the army, Carol joined Nuffield Health, where she established an impressive record of achievement in operational and clinical leadership roles, including Hospital Director, Chief Nurse and Clinical Director. Carol is recognised for her influence in building cultures of positivity and resilience and is highly regarded for her leadership and commitment to supporting colleagues to achieve their highest levels of performance and potential.
