Rapid treatment of sports injuries

Our Urgent Care teams provide quick examination, investigation and treatment for most commonly occurring sports injuries. We have quick access to diagnostic imaging and blood tests, as well as access to a large number of London’s leading consultant doctors specialising in orthopaedic care and Sport and Exercise Medicine.


Should your injury require ongoing treatment or admission – we can arrange for all of your ongoing care, be it under a consultant doctor or via supportive services such as physiotherapy.

Assessment for sports injuries

You will first be seen by a triage nurse who will make an assessment of the severity of your injury, before passing your care on to an urgent care doctor. The doctor will then conduct a thorough physical examination and assess whether you need any further diagnostic tests.


If the doctor believes you will require ongoing treatment, they can make a referral to one of our leading consultants, specialising either in Sports and Exercise Medicine, or Orthopaedics.

We also provide sport concierge service, set up by Dr Akbar de Medici, with the support of Professor Fares Haddad. Having worked with elite sports teams, they are experts in the acute medical care issues which sports teams are likely to encounter.


Our Urgent Care Centre at The Princess Grace Hospital offers a single point of access for sports clubs to ensure quick access to medical services not routinely available at their training ground facilities.
