Paying for your urgent care visit

When you visit a HCA UK Urgent Care Centre, you'll be greeted by a member of our dedicated team. They will carry out an assessment to confirm if urgent care treatment is suitable for your condition or injury. This assessment will allow us to make sure you receive the most appropriate care as quickly as possible.

After an initial assessment you will then be seen by one of our urgent care doctors. This initial consultation has a fixed fee. Any subsequent diagnosis items, such as blood tests or a CT, MRI or ultrasound scan, will incur additional fees on top of your consultation fee. You'll be advised of these prices before your treatment takes place.

We have two separate price lists: one for adult care and one for children under the age of 18. Each price list will help you to understand the total cost of your treatment.

If you require further or additional treatment, including further diagnostic tests or admission to hospital, we will refer you to one of our consultant doctors. We have a rota of full-time rota of consultants from many medical specialties, so you can be seen quickly.

  • If you are referred on to an HCA UK consultant, you can seek authorisation for cover by your private medical insurer at this stage.
  • If you do not have private medical insurance, the cost of further treatment will be outlined to you so you can consider treatment on a self-pay basis.

Each HCA UK Urgent Care Centre is staffed by experienced doctor and nurses trained in urgent care. They are overseen by doctors with specialist urgent care expertise, and led by HCA UK's Clinical Director for Acute Medicine.
