About urgent care for children

Our Urgent Care Centre for Childrenis for a broad range of non-life-threatening medical needs. Here, children under the age of 18 can receive the urgent care they need 365 days a year, with no appointment required. Our centre is open from 8am until 8pm and an initial consultation is £150.

Located at The Portland Hospital, this is the first private specialist Urgent Care Centre for Children in the UK.  At this centre we provide your child with rapid access to our rota of leading paediatricians, urgent care doctors and specialist nurses. Your child will usually be assessed by a nurse within 15 minutes of arriving. Shortly after, they'll have an appointment with a GP.

The Portland is the largest private children’s hospital in the UK, seeing over 40,000 children per year. A very large number of London’s leading paediatric consultants practice at the hospital. And with acute care resident medical officer and paediatric intensive care (PICU) back-up, you can be confident that your child will be in safe hands with us.
