About BIOlamp treatment

BIOlamp treatment (also known as therapy) consists of a thermal imaging lamp, with a plate containing a range of minerals. It treats the source of severe pain using a unique infrared spectrum of electromagnetic energy. These are similar to the natural bio-spectrum waves released by the human body.

BIOlamp is a clinically approved Class 2a therapeutic medical heat device, it can be an effective treatment for the relief of pain associated with: rheumatoid arthritis, severe osteoarthritis, back pain and certain sports injuries.

    A BIOlamp is used to relieve conditions of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It has been clinically proven to be effective at treating ailments such as back pain and certain sports injuries and can be used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), menstrual pain and joint pain.

    The lamp uses infra-red heat and electromagnetic energy to apply warmth to the body, raising the temperature in the body’s tissue and helping to:

    • boost the micro-circulation through the small blood vessels
    • rejuvenate cells, driving more oxygen and nutrients to them
    • expand capillary vessels
    • improve blood circulation and help to remove toxins from cells

    The procedure is comfortable and painless; however it produces warmth that you will be able to feel on your body. It may not be suitable if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure or certain respiratory conditions. Your consultant will take some basic tests and look at your medical history to ensure the treatment is safe for you.

    The treatment is most effective taken as a course and is often combined with acupuncture to ensure maximum results.
