Overview
Congenital heart disease is a general name for a number of conditions that are present at birth. It is a common birth defect, with up to nine in every 1,000 babies affected in the UK. Our aim is to create an environment where you and your child feel happy and relaxed, and where you can be confident that your child is receiving the very best medical care and attention. Our paediatric cadiologists include some of the world's leading consultants in their field. The Children's Hospital at The Harley Street Clinic is the only independent hospital in the UK specialising in paediatric cogenital heart treatments. Our paediatric cardiac service has a dedicated unit for the care of babies and children with heart disease. This unit is fully supported by advanced diagnostics, catheter and electrophysiology laboratories, operating theatres and a paediatric intensive care unit (PICU). We're particularly proud of our link with Chain of Hope, a charity which brings children to the UK to receive life-saving cardiac treatment.
