Please do not attend a HCA facility for any reason if you have a high temperature (over 37.8 degrees), have a new continuous cough, a streaming nose, flu-like symptoms or loss of sense of smell or taste. Consultant advice on direct admissions/transfers

Direct admissions & transfers advice from other facilities icon plus
HCA UK will:
- Not accept any patients whose primary symptoms include being febrile and respiratory without evidence of a negative test for CoVid-19 in the last 48 hours
- Not automatically accept any patients from other countries without evidence of a negative CoVid-19 test within the last 48 hours. These referrals should be discussed with microbiology and the hospital medical director
- Not accept any patients who have been in contact with a confirmed case of CoVid-19 until they have been symptom free for 14 days and have evidence of a negative test within the last 48 hours.

Direct transfers: ITU from other healthcare establishments icon plus
Please discuss any ITU transfers with the hospital consultant intensivist.
HCA UK will:
- Not accept any patient without a negative CoVid-19 test within the last 48 hours regardless of country of origin
- Not accept any patient who has been in contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19.
All direct transfers to any of our ITUs or PICU must first be agreed with the hospital intensivist.
