HCA is declared "one of the world's most ethical companies" - for the fourth year in a row

The Ethisphere Institute, the New York based international think-tank dedicated to the creation, advancement and sharing of best practices in business ethics, corporate social responsibility and anti-corruption, has voted HCA as one of the world’s most ethical companies for the fourth year running.

HCA is the largest non-governmental healthcare provider in the world and it operates in both the US and in the UK where it has six leading private hospitals in London and a total of 20 different diagnostic and treatment centres in and around London and Manchester.

A spokesman for the Ethisphere said: “The World's Most Ethical (WME) Companies designation recognizes companies that truly go beyond making statements about doing business ‘ethically’ and translate those words into action. WME honored organizations not only promote ethical business standards and practices internally, they exceed legal compliance minimums and shape future industry standards by introducing best practices today.”

Michael Neeb, President and Chief Executive Officer of HCA International, the group’s UK business, said he was delighted with the accolade. “Behaving as an ethical business and bettering the human condition is both our culture and our daily goal.”

“Winning this award four years in a row, reflects the dedication and hard work of our doctors, nurses, specialist technicians, in fact every individual in our business and I thank everyone here at HCA International for playing a part in achieving these high standards and winning this honour once again,” he said.
