    Welcome to Chelsea Outpatients

    We’re here for you
Chelsea Outpatients is a modern diagnostic and treatment facility spread across two neighbouring sites at 272 and 280 King’s Road. Patients can access appointments with a variety of specialist consultants.

We offer on-site imaging services, including MRI, ultrasound, X-ray and mammogram imaging, alongside diagnostics such as blood tests, providing convenient, high-quality private healthcare in the heart of Chelsea.
Chelsea Outpatients is home to leading consultants working across a wide range of specialities. Many also work and teach at some of the UK’s most respected NHS hospitals.

We also have a Women’s Health Centre, located at 272 King’s Road, which has dedicated consultants in breast, gynaecology, fertility and menopause care.

You can see more about the services we offer here.
Yes, we do. We see patients referred by GPs as well as self-referred patients. We welcome self-referrals from women who are aged 40 years or over and have a UK-based GP.

Patients attending their first breast screening appointment with one of our breast consultants will be able to have diagnostic tests at the same visit, including mammography, 3D tomosynthesis mammography and breast ultrasound. The high-quality images this state-of-the-art technology gives us helps ensure your diagnosis is both quick and accurate.  In most cases, you’ll have the results of your tests on the same day.

If you need a biopsy, whether image-guided biopsy or fine needle aspiration, we’ll arrange everything. Our excellent multidisciplinary team, including clinical breast nurse specialists, breast consultants, consultant radiologists and mammographers, will support you at every stage, and we’ll send your sample to our pathology laboratory for review.

Biopsy results can take 72 hours, sometimes longer if our team needs to review the results. We’ll arrange any follow-up consultations if necessary.
Yes, you can – often with a same- or next-day appointment. Our consultant gynaecologists are leaders in their fields, with expertise that spans gynaecology, fertility care, contraception and menopause.

Should you need any follow-up tests following your consultation, from smears and mammograms to blood tests, you’ll be able to have them on the same day and in the same place.

We can also book appointments with a dietitian or physiotherapist for you, and arrange for you to see a specialist gynaecology nurse to help you with your visit, offer support, and answer any questions you may have.

We also run The Menopause Clinic, a weekly clinic that aims to help women navigate this stage of life, and better understand their menopausal symptoms.
The Lump and Bump Clinic is a specialist, rapid diagnostic, triple-assessment service for anyone worried about soft tissue lumps, whether they’re women or men.

We accept referrals from GPs and consultants, and we also consider self-referrals from anyone who’s concerned about their health.

You’ll have an assessment and, if necessary, an ultrasound. Depending on the results of that scan, we may suggest an MRI scan, a biopsy, or referral to a specialist.

As part of the clinic, we offer a fast-track diagnostic screening programme, which means no waiting for an appointment. You’ll be seen and screened on the same day, in the same place, with fast and accurate results.

    • Fully equipped gym (stationary bike, treadmill, cross trainer, free weights, balance boards)

Yes, we can help. Our Skin Cancer Clinic offers rapid diagnosis and assessment, including biopsies, for suspicious skin conditions.

We also offer our patients Mohs surgery. This micrographic procedure is best suited for the removal of skin cancers on thin, delicate areas of the skin, such as the face, and used to treat common types of skin cancer, including basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma.

The technique involves cutting away thin layers of skin. After each removal we analyse the skin under a microscope, checking closely for remaining cancer. We then repeat the process until there are no signs of cancer cells.

The benefit of this process is that it minimises the amount of skin we have to remove to ensure we catch all the cancerous cells.
