At The Wellington Hospital, we have the largest independent rehabilitation unit in the UK that is CARF accredited with over 60 rooms designed especially for neurological rehabilitation. We care for patients aged over 18 with a range of neurological conditions including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Encephalitis, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease and Guillian-Barre syndrome. We aim to help patients achieve optimal recovery and wellbeing through a personalised rehabilitation programme, tailored to support the individual and their family.
Our intensive care unit and state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment on-site give full support to patients who need complex inpatient rehabilitation. Our consultants are at the forefront of medicine in neurological rehabilitation. Supporting them is a team of rehabilitation specialists that includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuropsychologists, dietitians, specialist rehabilitative nursing and more. We also have three specialist rehabilitation gyms and a hydrotherapy pool.
