Welcome to the Manchester Institute of Health & Performance

The Manchester Institute of Health and Performance or MIHPs as its known, is a world-class healthcare facility, combining modern diagnostic technology, sports medicine and education — all on one location.

The Institute was founded by Manchester City Council, Sport England and City Football Group, and is operated by HCA Healthcare UK. The partnership brings together leaders from elite sports, community sport, healthcare and local government to deliver cutting-edge facilities to the local community.

The Institute provides access to HCA UK's network of leading consultants to benefit from their expertise and experience in fitness and sport. At the Institute we provide a wide range of diagnostic testing from blood tests to scanning procedures, such as a MRIs, and specialist clinics.

Our MIHPs team works together to assess, refer and treat each individual condition or injury. We treat amateur and professionals athletes and ensure you benefit from our expertise and the best that sports science offers.
