Your visit

No matter if you're a patient or visitor, having a one-off consultation or staying overnight, we want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive. Our medical teams and hotel-style services take care of everything so you can focus on getting better or supporting someone you know.

What you need to know

If we're caring for you overnight

We'll have sent you a letter telling you when to turn up, where to go and what to bring. When you arrive, we'll show you to your private bedroom. It has an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, radio, phone and wi-fi. There's a locker, small wardrobe and safe for you to keep your belongings in. We clean your room and change your bed every day. Your meals are freshly prepared on-site by our chefs. If you have any dietary requirements or would like something that's not on the menu, just ask. Full room service is available until 8pm. You're welcome to have up to four visitors at any time until 10pm, but please no young children.

If we're seeing you as a day case

You'll receive a letter from us telling you where to go and when, and what to bring. You and your consultant will have discussed what will happen on the day, but if you have any further questions, your team will be happy to help once you arrive. You'll have your own bed in our dedicated day case area. This is where you prepare for your procedure and rest afterwards. You'll be able to go home once we're confident you're well enough. Before you leave, your nurse will talk to you about aftercare and make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable recovery. Please arrange for someone to pick you up and drive you home.

If you're an outpatient

What to expect when you're an outpatient depends on whether it's your first appointment and what sort of treatment or test you're having. Please bring anything you've been asked to (eg, scans, X-rays, referral letters, medication) and follow any instructions you've been given around fasting or medication. If you're a returning patient, please bring your London Bridge Hospital ID card. It's always a good idea to wear loose, comfortable clothing. You're free to bring a partner, friend or relative — especially if you need someone to drive you home. They can accompany you to your appointment or have something to eat and drink while they wait.

If you're visiting someone

We welcome visitors until 10pm every day. In some circumstances, we can arrange for you to stay overnight. If you've been unwell or had diarrhoea in the past 48 hours, please wait a little longer until you visit. We ask that you don't bring young children or babies and that there's never more than four visitors at a time. Tea and coffee is complementary. During your visit, you can enjoy a a meal or snack but there will be a charge. We're right next to London Bridge mainline and Tube stations so it's easy to get to us via public transport. If you're driving, there's an NCP car park close by. Please note — we're in the congestion zone.
