How to refer a patient

London Bridge Hospital is dedicated to delivering high quality, cost-effective healthcare. This is made possible because of the close relationships we have with the medical professionals we work with.

Our in-house GP liaison team will provide you with a seamless service to help refer your patients to the correct specialist. They are always on-hand to help source individual consultants and arrange appointments. Find out below about the different in ways in which you can work with the London Bridge Hospital.

The GP liaison service

For quick, convenient referrals – named and unnamed – contact our GP Liaison Department. The department liaises with GPs, consultants, their secretaries and patients to provide appointments at London Bridge Hospital and its outpatient centres.

The service provides you with:

  • rapid access to appointments with our top teaching hospital specialists
  • one telephone number and one initial phone call – we look after the rest
  • peace of mind knowing that your patient is being looked after.

Services are available 8.00am – 8.00pm, Monday to Friday, Saturday 8:30am – 5pm. To refer a patient, please contact the GP Liaison Team for assistance on: 020 7234 2009 or email gpliaisonlbh@hcahealthcare.co.uk.

GP educational events

Our philosophy of continual investment is designed not only to ensure the best treatment for our patients, but also the best development opportunities for our GPs.

London Bridge Hospital’s GP Liaison Department arranges and manages continuing educational development programmes through a series of seminar sessions developed specifically for GPs.

From watching live spinal surgery to a small group talk by a leading consultant, our events are created specifically for GPs and are led by our internationally respected consultants, who aim to showcase new developments and breakthroughs in healthcare.

These seminars offer:

  • certificates of attendance for all delegates
  • high quality venues and catering (including the Board Room of London Bridge Hospital's St Olaf House, overlooking the River Thames)
  • lunchtime, daytime or evening sessions, as convenient
  • sessions led by consultants from leading NHS teaching hospitals
  • topics of interest and contemporary relevance, based on feedback from GPs

Our consultants are frequently engaged in cutting-edge treatments and procedures. We aim for an interactive format to our seminars, offering the potential to discuss updates on those latest technologies, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
