    Mr George Tselentakis is a highly qualified and experienced consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is the Orthopaedic Lead Clinician at East Surrey University Hospital and an Honourary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Brighton & Sussex Medical School. He was appointed the position of Consultant Orthopaedic & Knee Surgeon at East Surrey University Hospital in 2002. His current practice emcompasses partial, total knee replacements and complex revision surgery, ligament reconstruction (ACL, PCL, multiple ligaments) surgery, meniscal surgery, cartilage regeneration procedures such as microfracture , autologous chondrocyte implantation, chondrotissue as well as autologous cellular treatments with PRP injections etc. Mr Tselentakis responsible for training of medical students, junior doctors and also senior surgical trainees with an interest in knee surgery under his knee fellowship programm. He came to the UK after qualifying in Greece. He underwent basic surgical training in London SW Thames, after passing his FRCS in 1994 he undertook research which was awarded with a PhD at Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry with Professor JB Richardson. Upon completion of his research Mr Tselentakis joined the North West Rotation where he received his higher orthopaedic surgical training in Manchester: he completed his training by passing the FRCS (Tr & Orth) exam and undertaking a knee fellowship in 2001 at the Royal Brighton Hospital as well as vising a number of nationally and internationally renowned centres. Mr Tselentakis is registered with the GMC and is a member of the British Medical Association, Royal College of Surgeons, British Orthopaedic Association and British Association for Surgery of the knee. He has presented nationally and internationally. He has published several papers in peer reviewed scientific journals and has authored book chapters.
