    Dr Soumit Singhai is a Consultant Geriatrician and Physician with 10 years experience working as a substantive Consultant in the NHS and his current NHS base is the Lister
    Hospital in Hertfordshire. He undertook his undergraduate training at Kings College in London, qualifying in 1995. He completed his postgraduate higher specialist training in North London which provided excellent training and has dual accreditation in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2016 which is a recognition of excellence and innovation in the field of medicine. Dr Singhai’s main areas of specialist interest and expertise are in the cognitive and neuropsychiatric problems related to Dementia and also Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders.

    Dr Singhai's work in the area of Parkinson's Disease has been recognised as an example of best practice by Parkinson's UK.

    He also works collaboratively with Dementech Clinical Academic Centre in the Harley Street medical district of central London which is a state of the art facility for investigation and management of Cognitive Problems and Dementia and also Parkinson’s Disease and therefore has access to the latest cutting edge technologies for diagnosis and management of cognitive/memory problems as well as Parkinson’s disease. His approach to care is person centred with treating ""what matters to the person"" to address their needs and goals and improve quality of life. He is also available for home visits if needed and can organise private transfers from NHS hospitals and admissions from home for rehabilitation, respite care and medical care.
