    Stergios (Stelios) Doumouchtsis is currently a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and RCOG accredited subspecialist Urogynaecologist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Urogynaecology Unit, St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
    He is the Lead Consultant for Childbirth Injury and Pelvic Health after Childbirth Services.

    He is a honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's University of London and a Visiting Professor at the University of Athens.

    Having completed his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK, Dr Doumouchtsis undertook subspecialty training in Urogynaecology. Following the completion of his subspecialty training in Urogynaecology at St George's Hospital, London, he was awarded an Ethicon Travel Award by the RCOG and worked as a visiting Scholar in the University of Michigan, where he participated in research projects with the Pelvic Floor Research Group.
    Dr Doumouchtsis' clinical interests include;
    Urinary urgency & frequency, urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction, recurrent cystitis, painful bladder syndrome, pelvic organ prolapse (primary & recurrent), defaecatory difficulty & anal incontinence.
    Prevention and management of childbirth injury, incontinence, vaginal discharge, perineal pain & wound healing complications, sexual difficulties.
    Treatment of benign gynaecological conditions.

    Dr Doumouchtsis' research interests include pelvic floor anatomy and imaging, pathoanatomy of pelvic floor disorders, surgery for incontinence and prolapse, evaluation of tests, treatments, surgical techniques and outcomes in urogynaecology and general gynaecology.

    Dr Doumouchtsis has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and authored over 20 book chapters.
