    Professor Philip Bloom began training at The Bristol Eye Hospital, then in London at The Western Eye Hospital and at Moorfields Eye Hospital, where he underwent a Glaucoma Fellowship. He specialises in Glaucoma, Cataract and Anterior Segment Surgery and holds a joint consultant appointment between The Western Eye Hospital (Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London) and The Hillingdon Hospital (Uxbridge).

    Professor Bloom"s clinical and research interests include Trans-scleral and endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation, Combined cataract and glaucoma surgery, and Spectacle independence following cataract surgery (including multifocal lens implantation, toric IOLs and incisional refractive surgery).
