    William Townley is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London. He specialises in Facial Reanimation, Head and Neck Reconstruction, and Cosmetic Surgery.

    Mr. Townley is a graduate of both Oxford and Cambridge Universities. He completed specialist training in Plastic and Aesthetic surgery in London, Oxford and Toronto. Prior to taking up his current NHS post, he was a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in British Columbia gaining excellent experience in facial reconstruction and all aspects of cosmetic surgery. He has been involved as a pitch-side surgeon in international rugby games suturing wounds and managing complex facial injuries.

    Throughout his career, he has been keenly interested in clinical research and striving to achieve the highest standards of patient care. He is particularly interested in corrective surgery for facial palsy and all aspects of head, neck and facial reconstruction – using modern technology to plan operations accurately and modern techniques to minimise scarring and morbidity.
