    Mr Waters qualified from University College London Medical School in 1995. He underwent specialist training on the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, Specialist Registrar rotation. He subsequently spent a year in Australia on the prestigious Sydney Hip & Knee Surgeons’ international fellowship.

    Mr Waters’s specialist interests are hip and knee surgery; including knee and hip replacement, partial knee replacement, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), ligament reconstruction, osteotomy (knee re-alignment), hip resurfacing and revision (redo) joint replacements.
    You can be referred to Mr Waters by your GP within the NHS or privately.

    Mr Waters provides a specialist trauma & orthopaedic service at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust. Surgery is performed at Watford and St Albans City Hospitals. Clinics are held at St Albans City Hospital and Hemel Hempstead. He is responsible for the training of junior surgeons, as well as lead orthopaedic surgeon for: clinical governance, surgical site infection surveillance and enhanced recovery programme. He was awarded two clinical excellence awards in 2010.

    Privately, Mr Waters consults and operates at the Spire Hospital, Bushey. Consultations and procedures can be performed at other private hospitals by arrangement.

    Mr Waters is involved in research looking into the life-span of hip and knee replacements and the design of new implants. He continues to publish and present research at international meetings.

    The little free time he has is spent with his family, travelling, various sporting activities, playing/recording music and collecting guitars.
