    Mr Nicholas Kalavrezos is a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University College London Hospitals with a sub-speciality interest in head and neck oncology and facial reconstruction. His clinical practice also includes surgical treatment of salivary gland neoplasms, as well as thyroid surgery and surgery for facial trauma.

    In early 2002 Nicholas was appointed as Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon at University College London Hospitals with a sub-specialty interest in oral oncology and microvascular reconstruction. Within the last 5 years the Head and Neck Unit at the University College Hospital has been developed into one of the busiest and most successful Head and Neck Units in the country. The surgical armamentarium of the Centre has improved vastly and Mr Kalavrezos carries out one to two microvascular cases per week with success rates well beyond 95%. His clinical practice also includes surgical treatment of salivary gland neoplasms as well as thyroid surgery. He has set up links with various centres in Europe and he organizes annual conferences of head & neck oncology and facial reconstruction.

    Nicholas is particularly interested in the refinement of facial reconstruction and the integration of facial plastic techniques in the reconstructive surgery of the head and neck patient.
