    Mr Kesava Reddy Mannur is an experienced Upper GI surgeon who has been performing advanced laparoscopic surgery since 1990 and obesity surgery/weight loss surgery since 1998. He is Director of Bariatric Surgery at the Homerton University Hospital. He has been conducting training courses and symposiums in Baritatric Surgery both in UK and India since 2004. He has performed more than 2200 weight loss surgeries including 1200 gastric bypasses and 650 sleeve gastrectomies. He has been presenting his work both in the national and international obesity surgery conferences and published in peer reviewed obesity surgery journals.

    Mr Mannur trained in surgery in Cardiff, Stevenage, and at the Royal London and Middlesex Hospitals. He has been a consultant surgeon for 19 years. From 1991 to 1993 he developed laparoscopic surgery with Mr Oliver McAnena at the Royal London Hospital. Since 1994, he has conducted many courses in laparoscopic surgery in India. He performed a live demonstration of fundoplication for Royal College of Surgeons of England and Royal London Hospital in 1998 and 1999. Since 2004, he has been conducting training courses and symposiums in bariatric surgery both in UK and India, demonstrating various techniques in obesity surgery. He improved his techniques in obesity surgery by working with Prof Michelle Gagner in New York, Dr Kelvin Higa in Fresno, California, Prof Cardiere in Belgium and Dr Hendrix in Antwerp. He performs 10-15 obesity surgery operations a week.

    Mr Mannur also performs laparoscopic gastrectomy and oesophagectomy for cancers and frequently helps Urologists and Gynaecologists to perform nephrectomy and hysterectomy respectively. He has been practising meditation for 35 years and trains people in meditation. He is actively involved in running free schools and low budget hospital in India through Sahaj Seva Samsthan.
