I work in one of London"s busiest trauma centres and take care of many patients with neurotrauma. I also have a general neurosurgical practice, which includes seeing a large number of patients with back and neck pain from degenerative spinal conditions.

My special interest is in brain tumour surgery and minimal access "endoscopic" surgery within the brain. I trained in London and won the "Norman Dott Gold Medal" for obtaining the highest marks nationally in the final training exams in neurosurgery. I was awarded a PhD from University College London for research into surgical instrument sterilisation from "prion" diseases.

After training I was funded to be an observer in one of the world’s most famous neurosurgical units, the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, before returning to take up an NHS consultant post. I am continuing to publish papers from my PhD and am developing my research interest in brain tumours.
