    Mr Ben Challacombe was appointed to Guy's and St Thomas' in 2010 following his fellowship in Australia. He practices general urology including open, laparoscopic and robotic procedures. He is also involved in the academic and research programmes within the department. He has a Certificate in Education and is involved with both undergraduate and postgraduate urological teaching.

    Mr Challacombe attended United Medical & Dental Schools of Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals between 1992 and 1998, obtaining a BSc in Clinical Anatomy and wound healing in 1995. He underwent his Master of Surgery degree in telemedicine and telerobotics between 2002 and 2003 and went on to achieve a Clinical Fellowship in Urological Oncology including robotics and laparoscopy at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia, between 2008 and 2009. He has received training in complex surgery of the kidney, prostate and bladder with a particular focus on laparoscopic and robotic procedures throughout his clinical training and in particular at Guy's, Royal Melbourne and Royal Marsden Hospitals.
