    Mr Andreas A. Prachalias qualified from Crete University Medical School, Greece in 1990. Following completion of his General Surgical training in Greece he joined the Liver Unit at King’s as Senior Clinical Fellow between 1997-2000 where he trained in advanced HPB Surgery and Liver Transplantation. He was awarded his MD Degree from Athens University in 1997.

    Mr Prachalias was appointed Consultant Surgeon/Senior Lecturer in Hepato-Biliairy and Pancreatic Surgery in Athens University Medical School in 2000. Since 2004 he has been working at King’s as a Consultant Surgeon in Liver Transplantation, Hepato-Biliairy and Pancreatic Surgery.

    His clinical and research interests include adult liver transplantation, treatment of malignancies of the liver, biliary tree and pancreas, with emphasis in extensive resection strategies and application of modern surgical technology.
