    Mr Adhikari currently works as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC) and the Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust. The EOC is a beacon orthopaedic unit and the largest joint replacement centre in the UK. He has a super specialist interest in knee surgery. He is in the top decile nationally in terms of number of patients treated.

    He has pioneered the use of computers and robotics in orthopaedic surgery in the UK and is actively involved in the culture of cartilage cells and transplant for cartilage injuries. He trains surgeons from the UK and abroad. He has lectured at meetings and conferences and continues to present his research work throughout the world.

    He is a member of a number of National and International Societies. He is Vice-President of the British Society for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery and Chairman of the Subspeciality Committee of SICOT which is the largest international orthopaedic organisation in the world with members from over 100 countries.
