Dr Adam Rosenthal is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Colposcopist from London, UK. He is one of the UK’s most experienced gynaecological cancer screening experts, with over 20 years of specialisation in the field. He qualified in 1992 from St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London, then trained in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology at various prestigious teaching hospitals, including St. Mary’s, Queen Charlotte’s, the Hammersmith, and Chelsea and Westminster.
In addition to the usual RCOG specialist training program, he holds a PhD in the molecular biology of vulval cancer (St. Bartholomew's Hospital) and RCOG subspecialty accreditation in gynaecological oncology and minimal access surgery from University College Hospital (UCH).
He now works as a Consultant Gynaecologist at UCH, where he leads the Colposcopy and Familial Gynaecological Cancer service, performing the vast majority of the hospital's risk-reducing gynaecological cancer and colposcopic surgery.
Dr Rosenthal is also clinical lead of the world's largest study of screening for women at high risk of ovarian cancer on the UK Familial Ovarian Cancer Screening Study (UKFOCSS). Due to his extensive research and clinical interests, he is frequently invited to give lectures to the public and fellow professionals at national and international conferences. He is an Associate Professor at University College London (UCL), and Medical Advisor to the Eve Appeal and all three of the UK's ovarian cancer charities. He has been interviewed on Sky News, Channel 4 and BBC radio.
