Mr Richard Hewitt is a paediatric ear, nose, and throat consultant at ENT Clinic. He also practises at Harley Street and at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children, as well as Great Ormond Street Hospital.

He treats children with all kinds of ear, nose, and throat disorders, with specific expertise in airway obstruction, middle ear and mastoid surgery (including cochlear implant). He also sees patients who have routine ENT problems alongside complex conditions.

He treats a range of conditions including the following:

• tonsil and adenoid issues,
• tonsillitis,
• sleep apnea,
• snoring,
• hearing impairments,
• ear infections.

His sub-specialty interests include:

• airway and laryngeal conditions,
• voice abnormalities,
• neck tumours,
• thyroglossal cysts,
• haemangiomas,
• cystic hygromas.

Mr Hewitt graduated from Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School in 2000. During this time, he also undertook clinical research with Harvard Medical School. He has completed training in London as well as six years of specialty training in the North Thames Region. He went on to train with an expert in paediatric ENT and head and neck surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Medical Centre in Ohio, which sparked his interest in this area.

He then went on to pursue a fellowship in paediatric otolaryngology at Great Ormond Street Hospital and became a consultant in 2012.
