Mr Pramod Achan is a very experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, with a particular interest in hip and knee surgery, joint replacements, sports injuries and arthroscopy.
He qualified in 1993 from the University of London, choosing to specialise in orthopaedic surgery. He then undertook postgraduate medical training and gained his Fellowship in Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998, before working as a Trauma Fellow at the Royal London Hospital.
After completing fellowships in Trauma at the Hospital for Joint Diseases NYU and in Arthroplasty on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, he served several years as Clinical Director for the Barts Health NHS Trust before taking up his current position at The Princess Grace Hospital, London.
Mr. Achan passionate about education in his field and balances his time between working at the practice, writing articles and directing orthopaedic training programmes. Mr Achan was selected as one of two ‘Best of British’ surgeons and had the honour of representing the British Hip Society travelling Fellowship in the USA. He has also represented British Orthopaedics as an ABC travelling fellow and has lectured extensively including at Harvard, Stanford, Duke, Emory, McMaster to name a few.
