    Mr Myles Smith is a Consultant Surgical Oncologist and General Surgeon in the Sarcoma Unit and Skin Unit at The Royal Marsden, and works at The Lister Hospital, the Harley Street Clinic, and the newly opened Chiswick Medical Centre.

    He joined the Royal Marsden Hospital Sarcoma and Melanoma Unit in 2014. Prior to his appointment at the Royal Marsden he trained as General Surgeon with a special interest in colorectal surgery. He subsequently underwent additive specialist training in General Surgical Oncology, as a fellow at the University of Toronto.

    Mr Smith has a special interest in surgery for soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma, in particular retroperitoneal, pelvic and intra-abdominal sarcomas as well as anorectal and visceral melanoma. He has an interest in the application of minimally invasive surgery to the management of rare tumours, such as GIST.

    He also has an interest in robotic surgery and with Mr. Asif Chaudry has established the Upper GI Robotic program in RMH, performing Gastric GIST and RAMIE (Robotic Assisted Mininally Invasive oEsophagectomy) procedures.

    Mr Smith has specific fellowship training in MIS general surgery, including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, inguinal and ventral hernia repair.

    He is board certified in surgical oncology, receiving the top score in the UEMS European Board of Surgery Qualification Surgical Oncology Exams (EBSQ) in 2014.
