    Henry is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in the lower limb. Henry joined London Sports Orthopaedics in 2009 where he has a part-time private practice. He combines this with his NHS roles, Consultant and Divisional Director at North Middlesex University Hospital.

    Henry qualified in medicine from the University of Edinburgh in July 1988, became Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2006 and completed his Specialist Registrar training in Trauma and Orthpaedics on the Imperial College North West Thames rotation in July 2008.
    Henry is Fellowship trained in Sports Injury Surgery; Hip and Knee Replacement and Revision Surgery, Arthroscopy, Meniscal and Ligament Reconstruction, Foot and Ankle Surgery and Ankle Replacement Surgery, which he completed at SportsMed in Adelaide and St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. He also undertook a four month Trauma Surgical Elective in Belgrade in 1997, where he was exposed to major trauma patients as a consequence of the civil war. He has regularly visited Belgrade since then and is now also Visiting Professor and Instructor at Belgrade Medical School, Serbia.
    Henry was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at North Middlesex University Hospital in September 2009. He was the hospital’s Trauma Director between 2009 -2012 and is Clinical Lead for Enhanced Recovery. He was awarded an NHS Clinical Excellence Award in May 2012.
    Henry has a keen interest in research and medical education. He has published over 80 original scientific journal articles, and has over 200 other publications. He has also been Journal Reviewer for the British Medical Journal, The World Journal of Orthopaedics, The Journal of Orthopaedics Surgery and Research, The Annals of Surgery, The Knee, The British Journal of Sports Medicine and British Journal of Medicine and Medical Research.
