    Mr Bantick is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Hand Surgeon. His NHS practice is based at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital. He has been a Consultant since 2002. Mr Bantick went to medical school at Barts in London, and did his training in plastic surgery at Bristol, Cambridge, South Wales, Liverpool and also in Sydney, Australia. Mr Bantick did a fellowship (specialist training) in Hand Surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney. He did a fellowship in cosmetic surgery in London, and worked as a cosmetic surgeon in a high profile practice on Harley Street for about a year in 2001-2. Mr Bantick did research in wound healing in Boston, USA (Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital) in 1994-5 and was a Fulbright Travelling Scholar. Mr Bantick was Lead for Plastic Surgery (head of department) at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital from 2007-12. About 70% of Mr Banticks practice is hand surgery, and 30% plastic surgery, including cosmetic surgery.

    In his hand surgery practice, Mr Bantick works closely with a team of Hand Therapists; there is a Hand Therapist working alongside him at his hand clinics. Mr Bantick also works closely with a Consultant Radiologist, who is expert at doing scans. Ultrasound scans, used to assess many hand problems, can often be done at the initial consultantion, and treatment started without delay.
