Mr Domenico Valenti is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College Hospital NHS Trust.

Mr Valenti was appointed to his present role in 2007 and previously had been a junior consultant vascular surgeon at Mauriziano Hospital in Turin, Italy. He is highly experienced in all types of vascular surgery, including carotid surgery, aortic aneurysm repair (open and endo-vascular), lower limb reconstructive surgery, varicose vein surgery (open and radio frequency ablation VNUS) and vascular access for haemodilaysis. He is one of leading surgeons in the UK in terms of volume and outcome (mortality and morbidity) following carotid endarterectomy.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh and of the European Board of Vascular Surgery. He is also a Member of the Council Section of Surgery at the Royal Society of Medicine. He takes an active interest in education, being an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and he teaches regularly at King's, Guy's and St Thomas' Medical Schools. He is the author and co-author of many peer-reviewed scientific articles published nationally and internationally.
