Mr Andreas Prachalias is a Consultant Liver and Pancreatic Surgeon, with an NHS base at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He also sees patients privately, including at the London Liver Centre, part of London Bridge Hospital.
His specialist interests include General Surgery, Hepato Pancreato Biliary Medicine, Transplant and Laparoscopic Surgery. Mr Prachalias qualified from Crete University Medical School in 1990 and following completion of general surgical training in Greece, he joined the Liver Unit at King's College as a Senior Clinical Fellow, where he trained in advanced HPB surgery and liver transplantation.
He was appointed Consultant Surgeon and Senior Lecturer in Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery at Athens University Medical School in 2000. He has worked at King's College as a Consultant Surgeon in Liver Transplantation, Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery since 2004. He holds professional membership of the International Liver Transplantation Society and the Royal Society of Medicine.
