Miss Romana Kuchai is a London-based Ear Nose and Throat Specialist (ENT surgeon). She was appointed as a consultant at Imperial College NHS Foundation Trust and practises at both St Mary's Hospital London and Charing Cross Hospital London. Miss Kuchai has developed her expertise in the management of both adult and paediatric general ear, nose and throat conditions. She has a particular interest in the management of complex nose and throat problems and the diagnosis and treatment of children presenting with most forms of allergies.
Miss Kuchai qualified at Imperial College Medical School London in 1996. She obtained her post-graduate qualification in surgery and then undertook advanced ENT surgical training at a number of renowned London hospital including St Barts and The Royal London Hospital, The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear and Charing Cross Hospitals. Miss Kuchai received her qualifications in primary paediatric training form the internationally recognised Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
She is now charged with managing the Paediatric Clinic which deals with both general and complex paediatric ear, nose and throat conditions at St Mary's Hospital in London. Miss Kuchai has a long-standing passion and belief in research and was awarded with an MD for her research into Allergic Rhinitis. Her current position involves leading research into conditions including Wegener's Granulomatosis and Sarcoidosis.
Miss Kuchai has long been a strong advocate of teaching and training others in her field and has been regularly organising courses for surgical trainees for over a decade. She has been an invited member of faculty for several national courses at the Royal College of Surgeons.
