  I am a well-trained breast and reconstructive surgeon practicing as a consultant surgeon at Macclesfield District General Hospital.
  
  I set up the breast reconstructive service at Macclesfield hospital and have since taken it from strength to strength, the hospital currently provides surgery and services at par with the rest of the country.
  
  I treat both benign and malignant breast conditions. I offer oncoplastic surgery and reconstructive breast surgery. My repertorie ranges from mastectomy and lumpectomy to the more complex surgery involving breast reduction techniques and implant reconstruction and latissimus dorsi myocutaneous reconstruction.
  
  I also perform breast reduction surgery for mammary hyperplasia.
  
  I take part in national and international trials to further the treatment and understanding of breast diseases. I am interested in clinical research and have conducted and published several local audit based studies relating to breast cancer care.
  
  I represent East Cheshire NHS Trust on the Greater Manchester cancer pathway board.
  
  I am interested in medical education and I am currently a member of the faculty teaching the breast course at the medical school in Manchester.
  
  I am a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and belong to the Association of Breast Surgeons (ABS). I am also part of the British Association of Surgical Oncologists (BASO).
