Laura Johnson is a consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon. Her NHS base is St Bartholomew's Hospital in the City of London. Laura completed her undergraduate training at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School in 2004, before returning to undertake her doctoral thesis. Her MD involved research into a novel magnetic technique for sentinel lymph node biopsy in breast cancer and was awarded in 2012. Laura completed higher surgical training in the South East and Central London region and her postgraduate training was complimented with a training interface group (TIG) national oncoplastic fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
Laura offers a full complement of breast benign disease and cancer surgery, to include revision implant and salvage surgery and works closely with her plastic surgical colleagues to offer free flap autologous surgery in both the primary and salvage setting.
She has e a special interest in implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) and is collecting and managing the UK series of this rare disease.
