    Dr Kabir completed his undergraduate medical training from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in 1996. He completed a PhD from the Rayne Institute at St Thomas’ Hospital after obtaining a British Heart Foundation named fellowship. He has published in peer reviewed journals in the field of ischaemic preconditioning and other areas of clinical cardiology. He completed his cardiology specialist training in the North East London Thames rotation. He is dually accredited cardiology and general internal medicine. He completed a fellowship in structural intervention in congenital heart disease from the Heart Hospital UCLH. He was appointed to his current NHS post at the Essex Cardiothoracic centre (CTC) in 2011. This is one of the busiest coronary angioplasty centres in the United Kingdom. He is the Unit Training Director for the CTC and has been given local clinical excellence awards. He also has an MSc in Medical education and trains junior doctors. He is also currently undertaking a Law degree from the University of Law in Bloomsbury.

    Dr Kabir is an intervention cardiologist who performs a large volume of cases in angioplasty and stenting. He also implants pacemakers for patients with heart rhythm problems. He also looks after patients with a wide variety of general cardiac problems including risk factor modification for heart disease, heart rhythm problems and hypertension.
