    Mr Jones qualified from Imperial College London with a first class honours BSc in 2000 before obtaining MBBS in 2002. He completed his neurosurgical training in London and obtained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS) in 2005 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Surgical Neurology (FRCS SN) in 2013, for which he was awarded the Norman Dott Gold Medal for obtaining the highest score nationally. He has a busy NHS practice based in The Atkinson Morley Department of Neurosurgery at St George's Hospital London managing patients with a wide range of neurosurgical problems. He has a sub-specialist practice in the surgical management of brain tumours and he is the Regional Lead Clinician for the Neuro-Oncology MDT.

    Mr Jones has a great deal of expertise and experience in awake surgery for brain tumours especially in the maangement of low-grade gliomas. He also runs a specialist clinic in the management of facial pain (trigeminal neuralgia) in addition to seeing patients with spinal disorders and hydrocephalus. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's University of London and has an active ongoing research interest in non-invasive diagnosis of brain tumours and their surveillance. He was awarded a PhD in 2013 by the University of London following a period of research funded by the EU and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
