    Luke read medicine in London and then completed his basic surgical training in London and Surrey. In 2008 he commenced Higher Surgical Training in Orthopaedics on the Oxford Rotation. Luke undertook a PhD in Musculoskeletal Science at Oxford University from 2010 to 2013. His thesis, entitled "Early Knee Osteoarthritis, Symptoms and Structure" had a particular focus on the aetiology of osteoarthritis and determining the optimal timing of joint replacement. Luke is double Fellowship trained. Having completed the United States Medical Licensing Examination, in 2016/7 he spent a year working on the Adult Joint Reconstruction Service, Stanford Healthcare, Stanford University, California, USA. This was followed with further Fellowship training on the Sports Knee Service, Oxford University Hospitals UK. Luke joined the Knee Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in early 2018 and quickly developed a reputation as a thorough, meticulous surgeon offering patients a bespoke and personalised service. Luke is a key opinion leader in London on daycase knee joint replacement surgery. He joined the team at the HCA Lister Hospital in January 2019 and provides a complete adult knee service, specialising in sports knee injuries, cruciate ligament reconstruction, unicompartmental knee replacement, minimally invasive knee replacement and revision knee replacement. A sports enthusiast out of work, he played rugby at National League and County level, and won a Rugby Blue at Oxford.
